Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Support Professional to join our team in Santa Cruz, CA.

About the Role

This is a temp-hire opportunity that will provide the selected candidate with valuable experience and skills in a medical setting. As a Medical Office Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth office operation.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner, providing clear instructions and directions as needed.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including verifying information, updating records, and assisting with ambulatory difficulties.
  • Answer phone calls efficiently, screen calls, and make appointments when necessary.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Assist with data entry, typing correspondence, and sorting documents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to office policies and procedures.
  • Participate in education activities and attend meetings as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare organization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and basic arithmetic skills are desirable.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are required.
