Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics. Your primary responsibility will be to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care activities.

You will be responsible for preparing patient charts, obtaining and updating patient information, and assisting with medical procedures. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with patients and staff, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts and obtain necessary information

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the Medical Assistant scope of practice
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
