Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist IV for a future upcoming project in the San Antonio, TX area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program management of all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities associated with client-owned systems and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into new data center builds or lease facilities.
  • Identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the physical construction build and general contractor.
  • Coordination of the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met to handover the space to our Operations teams and the business.
  • Production and management of project plans and execution of major milestones (Early Access, Ready Network Install, Corpnet Live, Security CX Complete, Fit Out Complete, Lockdown, Colo Ready) and for the financial approval and management function.
  • Advocacy for managing a safe worksite.
  • Coordination of internal client scope and resource efforts, requirements, and schedules with those of the landlord, owned vendors and suppliers to ensure a smooth and timely handover of the fitted out Data Centre facility and capacity to the Operations team and Business Groups.
  • Coordination with the Data Center Engineering team and supporting specialty consultants to review, improve and execute the design.
  • Coordination of the telecom materials procurement, telecoms installation, Security systems installation, FFE procurement and installation.
  • Coordination of the design, procurement, installation and turn up of the facility Corporate Network.
  • Alignment with the Construction Lead to agree delivery strategies across multi-sites and manage a continuous improvement program that will result in a lean project delivery approach.
  • Identification and management of stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables and handoffs.
  • Work alongside the DCD Construction manager and report into the Regional ITIM team leader and is responsible for the delivery of Integration and Technical Infrastructure scope and deliverables.
  • Industrial/Commercial construction. Greenfield and brownfield experience.
  • Creation and/or maintenance of best practices to identify and incorporate cost-effective solutions.
  • Management of the selection, contracting, and integration of multiple vendors and internal partners.
  • Drive deployment of solutions that can be socialized globally.
  • Facilitation of client/sponsor decision-making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required.
  • Regular review of cost and KPI metrics, invoices, process/policy communications to partners.
  • Coordination of meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned in support of the Data Center Integration & Construction Project Management Teams.
