Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lease Administration Assistant to join our team at the Gotham Organization. As a key member of our leasing and administration team, you will be responsible for administering and negotiating lease renewals and offers with current residents, tracking residential lease expirations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current renters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lease Administration
    • Administer and negotiate lease renewals and offers with current residents for optimal retention.
    • Track Residential Lease Expirations and send out lease renewal reminders.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current renters while processing their applications.
    • Process and evaluate various lease applications (initial lease, lease assignment, sublease, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner that abides by all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
  • Administrative Support
    • Verify accuracy and authenticity of all application information and supporting documentation.
    • Communicate with prospect(s)' employers, previous landlords, and any other involved parties to obtain necessary documentation for verification of their lease application.
    • Provide application status updates to prospective renters, resolve discrepancies or problems, and ensure quality customer service.
  • Lease Management
    • Review and maintain accurate lease drafts and riders for initial and renewal leases.
    • Provide administrative support to the leasing and administration team and the leasing director.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
    • Previous experience in residential property management or leasing, strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills
    • Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail

    • Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving skills
    • Ability to utilize various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Suite, On-Site, and Yardi.
