Job Summary

The Unit Service Coordinator plays a vital role in the nursing unit, providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of patient care services. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reception functions, including answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Collect and compile patient data, including medical records and test results
  • Assemble and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Assist with patient admission and discharge processes
  • Perform routine patient care functions as needed
Requirements
  • Prior work experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a medical setting
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS certification
