Your Responsibilities: As an Insurance Claims Evaluator - Bodily Injury, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing, negotiating, and resolving assigned claims related to casualty insurance. This role typically involves handling auto liability investigations and bodily injury claims. You will need to gather facts regarding the incident, interpret the insurance policy, and ascertain coverage and liability. Additionally, you will evaluate the loss's value and assist in establishing appropriate reserves. A solid understanding of tort law and its application to specific cases is crucial in this position. Maintaining a service-oriented approach is essential, as you will interact professionally and productively with colleagues, supervisors, agents, agency managers, claimants, policyholders, medical professionals, attorneys, and others.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree or equivalent experience along with 2 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in multi-line field operations, particularly in casualty claims, is preferred.
  • Preferred designations include Associate in Claims (AIC), Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA), and progress towards the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
  • High attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is required, with familiarity in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel being advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are mandatory.
  • Some travel with overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities are essential.
