Job Overview

RBC Bearings is a prominent global producer and distributor of precision-engineered plain, roller, and ball bearings. Since our inception in 1919, we have been dedicated to delivering exceptional bearing solutions to our clientele. Over the last decade, our current management team has expanded our market reach, product offerings, customer base, and geographical presence. We operate 31 facilities, including 28 manufacturing sites across five countries, supported by a worldwide network of sales engineers, distributors, and authorized agents.

Position Objective:

The aim of this role is to uphold the highest standards of customer service through direct engagement with a designated list of clients. A Customer Service Representative (CSR) must possess outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with customers, Field Sales Representatives, and Product Management. The CSR should be adept at addressing customer needs regarding quotes, order entry, and order status updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide timely and accurate quotes to customers to enhance order acquisition.
  2. Review orders for precision through our contract review process.
  3. Maintain and reconcile customer orders to minimize returns.
  4. Monitor overdue orders and inform customers accordingly.
  5. Stay informed about our Quality Objectives and Policies.
  6. Acquire and apply product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  7. Access and manage customer websites as required.
  8. Understand and optimize company gross margin policies.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General understanding of customer service operations within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to follow through on issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to satisfy customer needs while adhering to company policies.

Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess 0-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably within a manufacturing setting, and hold at least a High School diploma. Additional education is a plus.
