Role Summary

The Family Support Group Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering services to families and clients by engaging in program development, scheduling, marketing, enrollment, evaluation, and service provision. This position focuses on non-clinical family assessments, crisis intervention, and the recruitment, screening, and training of volunteers. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with educational institutions, community organizations, and other programs to provide parenting initiatives.
  2. Offering phone consultations to families post-program completion to ensure skill competency.
  3. Conducting community outreach to promote program participation.
  4. Maintaining precise documentation and timely data for program accountability.
  5. Managing a schedule that meets productivity expectations and guidelines.
  6. Engaging in relevant local and state training and activities; participating in assigned committee work.
  7. Contributing to team meetings and supervision discussions related to Counseling and Family Services.
  8. Delivering community education presentations on parenting support services and related topics as needed.
  9. Responding to inquiries regarding current services offered by the parenting support program and the organization.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least one year of experience in group facilitation or presentation.
  • Certification in required curricula or the ability to obtain such certification within the first year of employment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Understanding of social work practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and confidential work environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on client needs.
  • Ability to work independently in implementing and providing program services.
Work Environment
  • Setting: Home-based office and community environments.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday events.
  • Travel: Frequent travel required; reliable transportation and valid driver's license necessary.
