Role Overview:

The Senior Quantitative Modeling and Research Analyst plays a critical role in developing and maintaining a variety of financial models utilized throughout the organization. This position is part of the Modeling & Analytics Group (M&A) within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department. The M&A Group collaborates closely with various business lines, as well as Information Technology, Model Risk Management, and Internal Audit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs, tests, and operates a wide array of models for loan valuation, collateral assessment, default probability, and loss estimation.
  • Applies statistical and computational methods to evaluate and refine credit and market risk models, alongside complementary data analytics.
  • Maintains comprehensive model documentation covering theory, parameters, assumptions, change control, performance monitoring, and user guides in collaboration with the Model Risk Management Group and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicates model details, theory, assumptions, and parameters to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assists with model validation requests and addresses any findings or recommendations.
  • Engages directly with Model Validators and Regulators regarding model parameters and implementation.
  • Leads initiatives for necessary model enhancements.
  • Stays updated on methodologies and techniques related to model management and development.

Position Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. CFA or FRM certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative research, risk management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or C/C++ for at least 3 years.
  • Familiarity with asset/liability and valuation software models, such as Polypaths or QRM, is a plus.
  • Experience with database management concepts and tools, such as SQL, is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a high degree of initiative and independence.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of personnel.
  • Must not have any civil or criminal convictions that pose a risk to bank security.
  • Availability to work full-time.
