Vaco is seeking a Contract Senior FP&A Analyst who will play a crucial role in delivering strategic financial insights and enhancing the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical functions.

The Senior FP&A Analyst will work in close collaboration with various departments to boost financial performance and facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Forecasting:
Spearhead the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
Conduct variance analysis to assess actual outcomes against budget and forecast, delivering insights and suggestions for enhancement.
Engage with business units to collect data, comprehend assumptions, and guarantee precise financial projections.

Financial Analysis:
Execute comprehensive financial analysis, including profitability assessments, cost evaluations, and scenario modeling to support strategic objectives.
Examine key financial metrics and KPIs, recognizing trends, risks, and opportunities.
Compile and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and executive teams.

Business Partnering:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Sales, Marketing) to provide financial guidance and facilitate decision-making.
Assist in assessing business performance, pinpointing areas for cost optimization, and driving profitability enhancements.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, offering insights and recommendations grounded in financial data.

Process Improvement:
Identify and execute process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
Develop and maintain financial models and tools to aid forecasting, budgeting, and analytical processes.
Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO / Controller.

Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in financial reporting and analysis.
Support internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and explanations related to financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. MBA or CPA preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles, with a robust background in financial modeling and analysis.


Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion). Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.

Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Leadership:
Ability to lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Attention to Detail:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.

Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of business operations, financial performance drivers, and industry trends.
