Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of strategic transactions that drive business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the evaluation and execution of transactions, including supporting M&A leads with project management across various M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, venture investing) where applicable.
- Manage active project due-diligence processes, including financial analysis, business planning, synergy analysis, and valuation modeling.
- Develop and implement modeling and valuation templates based on best practices, using select corporate and investment bank models as benchmarks.
- Work in and manage global cross-functional teams across various business segments.
- Support internal approval processes, including preparation of deliverable documents and approval presentations to key stakeholders.
- Communicate with prospective buyers, sellers, investment bankers, and other parties, including reviewing transaction agreements.
- Monitor, track, and consolidate M&A activities for various stakeholders to support required education and governance for the Strategy and Finance leadership teams.
- Support the team in developing and updating key information databases required to support M&A transactions and implement best practices.
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student pursuing an MBA or a related degree.
- Ability to relocate to Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the internship.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks during the internship timeframe.
- Experience with project management, data collection, and consolidation.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in assessing and summarizing financial models and highlighting key drivers, variances, or gaps.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with the ability to develop and create presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently, as required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Prior transaction experience in investment banking, consulting, or related fields is a plus.
