The Center for Observational Research (CfOR) is a key part of Amgen's research and development efforts. Our scientists partner with internal team members and industry experts to design, conduct, interpret, and publish observational research that informs decision-making from the early development of a molecule to the design of clinical trials and the safety and efficacy of Amgen medicines.

As a Graduate Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to participate in the design and execution of observational studies for internal strategic decision-making and/or external scientific communication purposes. Your responsibilities will include preparing statistical analysis plans and collaborating with the programming team to analyze administrative claims databases.

We are looking for a hard-working individual with a strong academic background and a passion for research. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an MBA program, Master's program, PharmD program, or PhD program from an accredited college or university is also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience in cardiovascular disease area or relevant therapeutic areas, experience in the design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within Public Health or Pharmaceutical setting, and experience working with secondary data systems, including administrative claims, EHR/EMR, and registries.
