The Housekeeping Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the effective functioning of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that all areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry services meet the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct regular inspections of guest accommodations and communal areas to uphold quality and cleanliness standards.
2. Ensure daily operational goals are met, including opening and closing procedures, staff assignments, and room inspections.
3. Supervise and guide housekeeping and laundry staff, providing training and support as needed.
4. Organize daily meetings with the housekeeping team to discuss objectives and performance.
5. Manage inventory levels of housekeeping supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
6. Oversee maintenance requests and ensure timely follow-up on all service issues.
7. Maintain accurate records of room status and resolve discrepancies in reports.
8. Implement and monitor 'Lost and Found' policies to ensure compliance with company standards.
9. Review guest requests daily to ensure all needs are addressed proactively.
10. Ensure proper handling and compliance with hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
11. Maintain a secure key control system for the department.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a related field.
- Supervisory experience is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and computer applications.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with recognized hotel brands is advantageous.
