Traffic Operations Engineering Designer

Overview:
BCC Engineering is seeking a skilled Traffic Operations Engineering Designer to join our team of industry leaders. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting senior staff on existing projects, performing analyses related to traffic operations, safety, and planning, and documenting study findings and recommending solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior staff on existing projects
- Perform analyses related to traffic operations, safety, and/or planning
- Document study findings and recommend solutions
- Assist senior staff with communicating findings to clients and staff
- Prepare written reports and correspondence
- Document meeting summaries and minutes
- Conduct traffic operation analysis, transit analysis, and corridor analysis
- Conduct data research and project background information review
- Perform Quality Control Tasks
- Conduct traffic operations studies, traffic safety studies, and project development and environmental studies
Competencies:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Proficiency with traffic engineering and transportation planning software
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Understanding of GDOT guidelines and processes
- Knowledge of transportation and traffic engineering principles and practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning
- 1-5 years of experience in the transportation field
- Eligibility for Engineer-In-Training (EI) certification
