Job Summary

Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Wildland Firefighter Type 2 to join our team. As a Wildland Firefighter Type 2, you will serve on an engine crew, hand crew, or tender, performing fire suppression and fuels management duties in challenging climate, fuel, and terrain conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fire suppression and fuels management duties in a team environment
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with varying weather conditions
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve fire suppression and fuels management goals
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Introduction to ICS (ICS-100) certification
  • Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180) certification
  • Firefighter Training (S-130 - Field Day Required) certification
  • Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior (S-190) certification
  • NIMS: An Introduction (IS-700) certification
  • Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher (WFSTAR) (RT-130) certification
  • Ability to pass a WCT (Work Capacity Test/Pack Test) at Arduous Level
  • 21 years of age or older
  • DOT Medical Examiner's Certification
  • Current driver's license with acceptable driving record
