Firefighter II

Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Wildland Firefighters Type 2. As a member of our elite taskforces, you will be responsible for performing fire suppression and fuels management duties in challenging climate, fuel, and terrain conditions.

• Work on engine crews, hand crews, or tenders to suppress and manage wildland fires
• Perform duties in the Operations Section, supervised by Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) or Single Resource Bosses
• Participate in daily diversity of tasks, including fire suppression, fuels management, and equipment maintenance

• Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher (WFSTAR) (RT-130)
• Ability to pass a WCT (Work Capacity Test/Pack Test) at Arduous Level (Complete a 3 mile walk wearing a 45 pound pack in less than 45 minutes)
• Employees must be 21 years of age or older.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certification (will be authorized by employer for qualified individuals)
• Current driver's license with acceptable driving record
