Position Title: HVAC Chiller Service Technician

Position Summary: We are currently seeking an HVAC Chiller Service Technician responsible for the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of various chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, reciprocating, and scroll chillers, as well as refrigeration equipment, boilers, and unitary HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on chiller and boiler electrical and mechanical components, including:
    • Support for equipment such as chillers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, valves, and boilers.
    • Maintain accurate records, including refrigeration and operational logs.
    • Inspect and service chiller and boiler components, meters, sensors, and other related devices.
  • Perform major repairs on chillers and boilers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including:
    • Recovery of refrigerants and replacement of essential components such as O-rings and bearings.
    • Conduct boiler inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with state regulations.
  • Work on cooling tower gearboxes, drive couplings, and centrifugal pumps, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with various equipment brands, including Trane, Carrier, and Daikin.
  • Utilize refrigerant recovery equipment and maintain compliance with current environmental regulations.
  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited institution, or equivalent apprenticeship experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Possession of a clean driving record.
  • Experience with boilers and steam systems is advantageous.
  • Must hold EPA certification.
