Position Summary
National Guard Employment Network is seeking a Technical Systems Specialist to enhance operational processes at our manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will assess current operational procedures, devise innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
You will lead and oversee initiatives aimed at improving site safety and operational excellence. This is a senior technical role within the maintenance division.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assessments on current manufacturing procedures
- Identify opportunities for process optimization
- Analyze the effectiveness of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime and utilize effective troubleshooting techniques to meet production volume, quality, and uptime objectives
- Assist in project planning and foster a culture of electrical safety in accordance with compliance standards
- Utilize reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure production efficiency and quality standards are achieved
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize and resolve technical issues
Qualifications and Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience required OR Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PLC programming preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in Industrial Electrical required
- Proficient in programming, repairing, and troubleshooting PLCs
- Demonstrated experience in HMI Programming
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated team player, capable of working independently and within a team environment
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Background in leading and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to manage projects effectively
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting
- Capability to program and troubleshoot AC or DC power inverters/frequency drives
- Knowledge of motor control systems
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance systems and techniques
- Ability to interpret electrical power and control system schematics
- Skilled in identifying root causes of issues and implementing corrective actions
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational capabilities
- Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and decision-making skills
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications
- Ability to utilize a computer system (i.e., SAP) for maintenance processes and work orders
- Availability to respond to calls during non-business hours as necessary
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as required by business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical power distribution systems
- Knowledge of mechanical and fluid power systems
- Ideal candidates will also have Mechanical Maintenance experience
- Experience in electrical and mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment.
