Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Communications to join our team at the United Nations Foundation. As a key member of our Advocacy & Communications team, you will be responsible for leading strategic communications and managing content across all our editorial and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communications Strategy: Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy, Communications, and Partnerships to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organizational goals.
  • Manage Content Creation: Oversee the development of high-quality content, including press releases, media pitches, op-eds, and talking points, to promote our work and raise awareness about gender data and policy issues.
  • Editorial Support: Provide editorial support for our publications, including research and analysis for advocacy briefs and other written content, and ensure consistent implementation of brand guidelines.
  • Online Engagement: Execute our digital strategy, track and monitor online performance, and manage web vendors to develop new sites, landing pages, and other online platforms.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in international affairs, public policy, journalism, or communications.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience leading and implementing communications messages across various mediums to target different audiences.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, editing, writing, and oral communications skills, with the ability to write precisely and concisely for internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with WordPress, MailChimp, and other content management systems, as well as experience in publishing online content to Twitter and LinkedIn.
