HEALTHCARE OPERATIONS LEADER

$ $ / year depending on experience

The Healthcare Operations Leader will collaborate with and guide all members of the local team to create, execute, and uphold essential reports and documentation to guarantee adherence to established operational targets and objectives. This role involves making financial decisions aligned with assigned fiscal and volume budgets. The leader will oversee various departments, which may encompass network and care coordination, contingent on the market served. Additionally, they must embody the values of Global Medical Response through demonstrated actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recognize that internal stakeholders are as crucial as external clients; exhibit appreciation and respect for all team members.
  • Evaluate market conditions and formulate strategies that align the availability of out-of-hospital healthcare services with customer needs.
  • Ensure superior service levels to agencies, hospitals, and the medical community.
    Assess customer satisfaction data, adjust processes, and guide employees to maintain high service standards.
  • Negotiate contract terms and amendments. Engage in resolving issues with community members, political groups, and other agencies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends that may affect the division.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee operating budgets for designated areas of responsibility.
  • Engage in marketing initiatives and business development to enhance revenue and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and scrutinize financial and other data reports.
  • Implement operational modifications to control expenses.
  • Direct and integrate clinical management.
  • Design, execute, and sustain processes to optimize operational quality.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement through clinical management, communication centers, and protocol interactions.
  • Establish a disaster planning program and take charge during emergencies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other emergency relief providers, both public and private.
  • Set goals and objectives for field operations based on communicated strategies for the region, and clearly convey these goals to relevant employees.
  • Oversee the recruitment, retention, development, and formal recognition of staff.
  • Provide direction, clarity of expectations, and coaching to supervisory personnel.
  • Manage employee performance by establishing and communicating standards, measuring outcomes, and providing feedback.
  • Serve as a resource for employees in problem resolution and enhancing effectiveness.
  • Participate in resolving labor disputes and fostering effective relationships with union representatives.
  • Ensure consistent and equitable treatment of employees.
  • Exemplify appropriate behavior concerning the organization's vision and guiding principles.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EEO, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations governing business and employee relations.
  • Adjust roles of supervisors and field employees to enhance job satisfaction and professional development.
  • Actively cultivate, train, and promote the use of work teams for process enhancement.
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective contract management.
  • Engage in community activities to enhance the division's and organization's image.
  • Share insights with others in the region, other operating companies, and corporate to promote best practices.
  • Monitor and make necessary adjustments in processes to manage success metrics.
  • Implement changes to align operational initiatives with organizational strategy.
  • Develop plans and execute specific actions to facilitate the swift, effective integration of new companies into the organization.
  • Ensure effective risk management (e.g., workers' compensation, safety) through proactive education and training programs.
  • Manage inventory (including the fleet of vehicles) in a cost-effective manner.
  • Administer the capital budget to ensure optimal use of available resources.
  • Moderate travel to designated areas of responsibility.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, provide counseling and disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and facilitate individual and team development that drives positive outcomes.
  • Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, and promotion.
  • Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 3 years of general management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in EMS Education.
  • Current State EMT/Paramedic License.
  • BLS and ACLS Certification (AHA only).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven internal and external customer service experience.

Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000.00
