Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-time Front Desk Clerk to join our team at the City of Fairfield, OH. As a key member of our Parks and Recreation Department, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform administrative tasks, and support various City departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including word processing, data entry, and filing, to support the efficient operation of our department.
  • Utilize computerized office equipment to prepare and process documents, reports, and records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Compile and enter numerical and textual data into our computerized system, generating reports and providing summary data as required.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, sorting and delivering letters and small packages, applying necessary postage.
  • Store and retrieve materials, records, and supplies in and from various building locations, operating office machines as necessary.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Basic computer literacy, with experience in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary office procedures and practices.
  • Keyboarding skills and experience.
