Job PurposeThe Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses for the guests and members. The ideal candidate can handle working in a bustling, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine
- Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine
- Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them properly
- Setup or break down the dishwashing area
- Sweep/mop floors
- Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
- Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
- Clean food prep stations and equipment
- Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen like coffee makers, pots and pans, mixers, etc.
- Take out trash and rinse garbage cans
- Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
- Verbal communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Work effectively with kitchen staff
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Skills/Abilities/Personal Characteristics: Lifting, Verbal Communication, Teamwork, Energy Level, Thoroughness
Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs. Evening, weekend, and vacation work will be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
