Responsibilities:
Job Purpose


The Golf Cart and Range Services Attendant is responsible for delivering the highest level of guest service while assisting in the maintenance of our daily golf operations.

Attendants serve members and guests by ensuring optimal conditions for golf carts and the range, as well as managing golf bags.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and acknowledge all members and guests, offering guidance on proper cart handling and loading of clubs onto golf carts as necessary.


- Maintain the golf cart fleet by performing tasks such as: washing or detailing the carts daily, stocking cart supplies (pencils, scorecards, tees, cooler, etc.), removing trash after each use, ensuring proper fuel or power to carts, inspecting each cart for mechanical issues before use, counting and securing all carts at closing, and reporting any mechanical problems (including brakes, tires, bag straps, steering, etc.) to a supervisor.


- Ensure the range is kept in excellent condition by performing duties including: maintaining an adequate supply of range balls, collecting, cleaning, or delivering balls, rotating mats, ensuring proper functioning of lighting equipment, aligning tees, maintaining clean water in club cleaners and ball washers, removing trash, and ensuring appropriate fuel and oil levels for tractors, as well as greasing fittings and picking up golf balls from the perimeter.

- Provide customer service by addressing member or guest concerns and directing them to a supervisor.

- Conduct routine maintenance on carts, such as changing flat tires and spark plugs.

- Perform routine maintenance on the range environment, including changing or filling water in coolers, emptying trash cans in work areas, parking lots, and clubhouses.

- Ensure continuity of customer service by training other attendants as requested.

- Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as directed by management.

- Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

- Ability to operate equipment such as golf carts, golf ball pickers, ball washers, ball dispensers, pressure washers, and golf cart jacks.

- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.

- A valid driver's license is required.

- Education in golf or a related field is preferred.

- Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Education

- High School Diploma or GED.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this position, employees may be required to stand for extended periods, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push, or pull.

Employees may need to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
