Product Strategy and Operations Manager

About the Role

Maxar Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Product Strategy and Operations Manager to join our Product team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, driving, and executing the strategy and operations to support our first-in-class geospatial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, competitive benchmarking, analytics, business case development, and special projects.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, perform advanced data modeling and analysis, and facilitate strategic decisions.
  • Identify information sources, gather and interpret data, execute analysis, and present findings to senior leadership, including risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline processes, focusing on automation to maximize efforts on strategic analyses and competitive information collection.
  • Build knowledge of Maxar's business and become a key business partner to Maxar organizations.
  • Build and maintain inclusive partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product operations strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between product management, engineering, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on product roadmap priorities and timelines.
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to product operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to product operations and recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or other related analytical field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 5+ years of professional working experience, including 3+ years in strategic planning, business development, management consulting, or finance. A Master's degree may count for 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to think creatively, and synthesize data/analysis to deliver fact-based insights and implications for business decisions.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to build credibility with partners and internal stakeholders to drive action.
  • Experience with change management strategies and processes.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA or Aha.
  • Self-starter and fast learner with an eye for business and research.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity and imperfect data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to develop clear and thoughtful recommendations with tools like PPT and Excel.
  • Experience building executive-level presentations.
  • Ability to form relationships with key business partners across the company.
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
