Job Title: Security Supervisor

SpaceX is a pioneering space exploration company that is revolutionizing the way we think about space travel. As a Security Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and employees.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of our onsite security team, ensuring that our facilities and employees are safe and secure. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily management of the onsite security team, ensuring that all security protocols are followed and that our facilities and employees are safe and secure.
  • Work closely with the Security Manager to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor security personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all security equipment is operational and that our facilities are secure.
  • Identify and mitigate potential security risks, working closely with the Security Manager to develop and implement strategies to address these risks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of combined experience in one or more of the following disciplines: US military, sworn law enforcement, overseas contracting, corporate security.
  • 4+ years of security officer/military/law enforcement experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance required.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of relevant professional experience, education, and training.
  • Familiarity with Department of Homeland Security C-FATS and NISPOM.
  • Public safety and emergency experience, such as First Aid/CPR training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work night shift.
  • Ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access.
  • Meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security officers.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, when needed.
  • Ability to lift or carry 40-50lbs of equipment or gear.
