Job Overview

Title Processing Specialist

Peltier Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Title Processing Specialist. This role is essential for managing the processing of vehicle titles and registrations, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify data, complete necessary state forms, and handle disbursements for taxes and fees
  • Utilize dealer software systems to process registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles
  • Facilitate the transfer of titles for pre-owned vehicles
  • Prepare and distribute title documentation
  • Track and follow up on incoming titles
  • Maintain and reconcile schedules related to tax, title, and license payments
  • Identify and report internal control issues by reviewing policies and changes in authorized personnel
  • Keep detailed error logs
  • Process payoffs for trade-ins and floor plans, and manage contracts with financial institutions
  • Ensure accuracy of Finance and Insurance (F&I) data
  • Reconcile inventory schedules on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Complete semi-monthly payroll for sales consultants
  • Verify F&I logs against accounting data prior to month-end
  • Handle rebate processing
  • Participate in weekly departmental meetings

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is required, along with six months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Certifications

A Notary Bond is preferred.
