Key Responsibilities:
Collect blood samples from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
Label and process specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
Maintain accurate records of sample collection, processing, and storage.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, as well as laboratory safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely sample collection and processing.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
Minimum 6 months of experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent patient interaction skills and ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
