We're seeking a highly skilled Contract Management Lead to join our team. This is a hybrid role that requires two days per week in office at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

As a Contract Management Lead, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that contracts meet the organization's needs and objectives. You'll also be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, including the negotiation, execution, management, and closeout of Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Task Orders, and Contract Modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including subcontract agreements, teaming agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other business/vendor contracts.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that contracts meet the organization's needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties to achieve favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including the negotiation, execution, management, and closeout of Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Task Orders, and Contract Modifications.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met from inception through project completion.
  • Maintain a comprehensive contract database, ensuring that all contracts are properly documented and accessible.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Work with legal counsel to resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure contract alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on contract management best practices.
  • Generate reports on contract status, performance, and compliance for senior management.
  • Analyze contract data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations for contract strategies based on analysis and industry best practices.
  • May require extended hours to meet deadlines or handle urgent contract matters.

Estimated Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies/Law or a related field. Master's degree or JD is a plus.
  • Five years of experience managing contracts in the government contracting industry, with a focus on complex government projects.
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other U.S. Government contracting regulations.
  • Experience with a variety of government contract types, including FFP, T&M, IDIQ, BPA, Task Orders, and hybrid contracts.
  • Familiarity with GSA Schedule contracts.
  • Familiarity with SBA rules and regulations, including understanding of SBA Mentor-Protégé relationships.
