Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac PCU

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care.
  • Current MA RN license required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required.
  • Telemetry experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting.
Requirements:
  • CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment.
  • Evidence of continued education and professional development.
  • Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred.
  • Telemetry training required within the first year of employment.
Work Environment:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.

Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements.

Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.

RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
