Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are assigned, prioritized, and completed efficiently.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assets.
  • Work Order Management: Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Inspections and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts, ensuring necessary materials are available for timely maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Facility Manager, contractors, and other departments to coordinate larger repairs, upgrades, or facility projects.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and other safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment for the team.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field, with at least 3 to 4 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, Electrical) are preferred.
  • License and Insurance: Valid California Driver's License. Must have reliable vehicle, current valid California Driver's license, and be insurable under the criteria established by CHIP's general liability carrier.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
