About the RoleThe School Social Services Department offers a variety of services to Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Newark as well as nonpublic and charter schools in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.
Key Responsibilities- Screening and assessment of students
- Individual and group counseling
- Consultation with parents and school staff
- Workshops for students, teachers, and parents
- Documentation and reporting as required
- Attendance at meetings and trainings as required
- Master's Degree
- NJDOE School Social Worker/School Counselor certification
LSW or LCSW preferred. Preferred qualifications include one year post-masters experience working as a school social worker.
