About the Role

The Equity Project Charter School is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide critical support to students and families, promoting social and emotional health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Counseling Services
    • Provide individual and group counseling to students and families in need of social and emotional support
    • Lead mediations using relational-based models, in alignment with our commitment to Restorative Justice Practices
    • Respond to day-to-day crises and collaborate with the school community to create a safe and supportive environment
    • Design and implement creative clinical interventions for students with repeated challenges
  • Mental Health Programming
    • Develop and lead programs to promote emotional, mental, and psycho-social health
    • Build strong relationships with families to facilitate a collaborative approach to student support
Requirements
  • Language Proficiency: Complete fluency in Spanish required
  • Deeply aligned to our mission of providing world-class mental health services and social work interventions to historically under-resourced student communities
  • Minimum of five years of clinical social work experience working with children and families, with a preference for individuals who have worked within a school setting
  • Ability to design and implement in-school prevention programming according to current best practices within the field of social work
  • Working knowledge of the instructional and social needs of students with disabilities
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a regular counseling schedule and triage crisis, while prioritizing multiple competing urgent tasks
