About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at AWS Infrastructure Services. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for infrastructure services and collaborating with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and costs for Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop effective procurement solutions
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for Amazon
  • Analyze market trends and data to inform procurement decisions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category management and supplier negotiations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
