Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. You will exercise professional judgment in performance of procedures and patient care, and conduct other related duties assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule daily assignments for staff and management of patient flow
  • Assist management to ensure that the CT equipment is inspected and remains compliant
  • Order and maintain adequate storeroom supply levels
  • Perform quality control and check on equipment daily
  • Train new CT Technologists
  • Assist in MRI as needed
  • Ensure patient comfort, physical and mental well-being during the examination
  • Analyze patient physical condition, age, and suspected pathology for proper technique
  • Assist Radiologist in performing certain radiographic procedures
  • Ensure that room is properly stocked with all needed supplies prior to the beginning of the procedure
  • Explain procedures, keep patient informed of progress, and assist patients in transferring onto/off examination table for procedures
  • Observe equipment for proper functioning and report malfunctions to supervisor
  • Properly prepare room before patient enters and clean it after patient exits
  • Properly use the Radiology Information System to arrive, change if necessary, and complete cases
  • Utilize equipment appropriately for each type of examination
  • Verify physician orders, document completion on inpatient charts
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • CT experience required
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • NJ License required
