Job Summary:

As a Pharmacist (Full or Part Time) at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and clinical expertise. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper medication use, and providing immunizations and other healthcare services. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, adhering to regulatory guidelines, and ensuring the efficient workflow of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, including potential side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
  • Provide immunizations and other healthcare services, such as diagnostic testing and patient outcomes services.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient information, medication lists, and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including those related to controlled substances and patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure the efficient workflow of the pharmacy, including inventory management and supply chain logistics.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
