Public Affairs Specialist

As a Public Affairs Specialist you may:
Plan, direct and execute internal and external communications agendas for assigned functional or program areas.
Direct and execute national campaigns to convey complex information concerning major DOE programs, research on program-related areas, responsibilities, and activities.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with national and international media representatives.Create, develop, and execute communication outreach strategies to maintain public support through effective means.
As spokesperson, explain or clarify official DOE positions to the public on a wide range of topics which may be sensitive in nature.
Manage the preparation of and independently prepare press and informational releases for distribution to news media and to the public, including articles, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points and other material on energy and environment matters.
