Position Overview

The Product Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in our operational workflow by managing incoming shipments, overseeing product storage, and preparing outgoing pallets. This position is vital for handling a significant volume of non-finfish products that circulate within our facility on a daily basis.

Training and Development

Upon employment, you will undergo comprehensive training tailored to your specific responsibilities, ensuring you are well-versed in safety protocols and sanitation practices. You will learn our operational standards and will be expected to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is essential, along with performing various opening, ongoing, and closing tasks.

Key Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the proper maintenance and operation of equipment, particularly forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Forklift certification is required

Core Responsibilities

  • Handle merchandise with care, ensuring safe and logical loading of goods into transport vehicles
  • Complete all required documentation for deliveries
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of designated work areas
  • Engage professionally and courteously with colleagues and supervisors
  • Check in with the supervisor before concluding your shift
  • Follow the established maintenance and cleaning schedules
  • Immediately report any safety hazards to management
  • Work in a cold environment (approximately -10°F) for up to 4 hours daily
  • Lift items weighing up to 60 lbs, with typical weights ranging from 20-30 lbs
  • Carry items over distances of up to 150 feet
  • Reach heights of up to 6 feet, with most tasks requiring a reach of 2-6 feet
