Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Benefits Coordinator to join our team at myGwork - LGBTQ+ professionals & allies. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting colleagues with the management of employee benefits for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives, and Producers to meet client needs, including reviewing benefit options, updating benefit guides, and addressing escalated member benefit issues.
  • Work with vendors to resolve employer and employee benefits issues, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution.
  • Organize and participate in employee meetings, such as open enrollment and benefits fairs, to educate and engage clients.
  • Assist with RFPs for clients and help new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Maintain clients' insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in health insurance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with carriers and clients.
  • Problem-solving abilities, including critical thinking and adaptability.
  • Project management skills, including attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization, and time management.
