Position Overview

Mechanical Project Engineer I-II - Expertise in HVAC & Plumbing Design Required

In the role of Mechanical Project Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Project Engineer and/or Principal Engineer to oversee the creation of project documentation alongside the efforts of other architects, engineers, and technicians. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting HVAC load assessments
  • Designing HVAC & Plumbing systems
  • Coordinating workforce assignments
  • Managing project financial aspects (including reporting, EV updates, etc.)
  • Engaging with industry suppliers

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent professional experience. A Master's degree is acceptable but not mandatory.
  • 3-10 years of experience as a Professional Mechanical Engineer providing mechanical design services on building projects.
  • Proficient in all phases of construction document development. Documented leadership skills are preferred.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Effective time management skills, including prioritization, estimating hours, and timely task completion.
  • Self-driven and committed to personal and professional growth.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit drafting software.
  • Possesses sound judgment and can provide rationale for decisions made.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer (P.E.) in California or in another state with the capability to obtain licensure in California within six months of hire.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000-140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on licensure, experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
