Key Responsibilities
- Attend to the personal, physical, and emotional needs of participants in accordance with Albright LIFE policies and nursing staff instructions.
- Provide essential personal care and mobility assistance, including bathing, grooming, and transfers.
- Assist with meal service and ensure a clean dining environment.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other health metrics in the Electronic Health Record.
- Transport participants to medical appointments and activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for participants.
- Facilitate recreational activities and engage participants in various programs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans and document progress.
- Report any concerns that may affect the quality of care provided.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Additional Responsibilities for Backup Drivers
Provide safe transportation services to participants, maintain a valid driver's license, and demonstrate the ability to operate a wheelchair transport vehicle effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Ability to lift and support participants, as well as push equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrated interest in caring for the geriatric population.
- Must pass a physical examination and meet health guidelines.
