Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to devise and execute creative solutions.
  • Review audit engagements prior to partner assessment to guarantee the integrity of the information.
  • Exhibit a consistent ability to recognize and accurately address technical matters on each assigned project.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Engage effectively and directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and superior outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and best practices.
  • Prepare client invoices promptly and efficiently for review by the Practice Area Leader.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by scheduling and managing firm personnel.
  • Meet with potential clients and assist in the preparation of proposals.
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services to clients.
  • Support junior staff and supervisors by providing constructive feedback and coaching.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting.
  • 5-8 years of experience in an accounting firm, including a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • A genuine passion for the profession and a desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software, and assurance software.
  • Completion of continuing professional education requirements focused on enhancing management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Innovative and creative, with a strong commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with others to achieve shared objectives.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good motor vehicle record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding for 5-7 hours daily.
  • Fine hand manipulation using a calculator or adding machine for 2-4 hours daily.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
