Position Overview

The Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist Manager to lead and enhance our human resource initiatives. This role is pivotal in aligning HR programs with the strategic objectives of HATCI and the Hyundai Kia Motor Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership Development: Drive the evolution of human resource programs that resonate with our corporate mission and values.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Foster relationships across various departments, promoting a culture of cooperation and cultural sensitivity.
  • Policy Interpretation: Provide clear guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring all employees understand compliance requirements.
  • Policy Implementation: Recommend and revise HR policies to ensure consistency in employee relations and adherence to legal standards.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the employee performance evaluation process, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Associate Relations: Counsel management on effective associate relations policies and ensure daily adherence to these practices.
  • HR Team Oversight: Advise and support HR team members in areas such as benefits, training, and HR information systems.
  • Global HR Initiatives: Develop and implement comprehensive HR programs, collaborating with Global HR initiatives.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain a thorough understanding of legal requirements affecting human resources and ensure compliance in business practices.
  • Support Services: Provide ongoing support to employees and management across various locations.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared for occasional travel, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, preferably in OEM and Tier 1 environments.
  • Experience in managing and leading HR teams.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred.
