About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a key player in our GMP manufacturing process, you will be working closely with our manufacturing and laboratory staff to troubleshoot and repair equipment, maintain utility systems, and support the overall facilities operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain utility systems, including HVAC, clean steam generator, chiller, USP-water/DI water skids, plant steam boilers, and air compressors.
  • Assist management in writing operational protocols and preventive maintenance and calibration procedures.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all equipment logbooks and maintenance records.
  • Routinely troubleshoot and repair laboratory and manufacturing equipment, including fermenters, pumps, filtration skids, freezers, and other equipment.
  • Participate in facility expansion and validation efforts.
  • Recommend parts and supply purchases for equipment within the manufacturing and laboratory areas.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and laboratory staff to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related experience in hospital, food, chemicals, biologics manufacturing, or maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing/R&D facility, supporting the GMP production of Phase I/II bulk biologics.
  • Must obtain Grade 3 Stationary Engineer's License within the first year of service.
  • Good mechanical ability for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated, cleanroom environment that requires full gowning (Tyvek coverall, gloves, hair cover, shoe covers).
