Job Title: Boutique Manager

Job Summary:

John Hardy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boutique Manager to lead our store business objectives and foster an exceptional service culture. As a brand ambassador, you will curate the John Hardy brand experience, introduce new clients to our brand, and cultivate relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Development:
    • Deliver an unparalleled John Hardy brand experience and ensure exceptional client service on the sales floor
    • Develop and implement a top strategy to retain and develop high-potential clients and achieve strong sales results
  • Business Leadership:
    • Drive and maximize sales performance to achieve the overall sales budget objectives
    • Analyze monthly store performance and report current trends
    • Develop and implement business action plans in collaboration with the Senior Director of Retail Operations
    • Communicate company KPIs and identify strategies to attain performance standards
  • Performance and Talent Management:
    • Communicate all relevant brand, product, operational, and technical training and educate the team on brand pillars and seasonal strategy
    • Recruit and retain a high-performing team and manage the allocation of staff resources
    • Conduct goal setting, performance coaching, and monitoring, and team meetings
    • Partner with the Senior Director of Retail Operations and VP of Human Resources for all employee relationships issues
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Maintain store operating budget, including total profit and loss ownership, timely submission of accounts payable invoices, and cash disbursement policy management
    • Ensure maintenance of cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and shrink requirements
    • Oversee the processing of daily inbound and outbound merchandise
    • Support and maintain consistent visual merchandising and housekeeping standards
    • Maintain knowledge of all product categories
    • Ensure adherence to company retail operating procedures
    • Partner with the support team and other appropriate internal departments
    • Maintain security standards within the store for the safety of customers and colleagues, and asset protection

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
  • Preferred: Graduate Gemologist degree or Gemological Institute of America (GIA) coursework
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in retail or luxury retail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as Point of Sales (POS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Proven track record in sales generation, managing the achievement of sales results, and meeting profitability targets
  • Proven people management experience
