OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of plant machinery and mechanical systems. This role emphasizes the utmost level of crew safety while providing essential technical support to the maintenance team. The coordinator will formulate and implement project plans focused on maintenance repair and replacement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations with a strong emphasis on safety protocols
  • Lead and supervise maintenance personnel and other staff as necessary
  • Delegate tasks and ensure all activities are performed safely and accurately
  • Compile necessary reports and maintain relevant data and documentation
  • Strive to achieve maximum equipment uptime within designated areas
  • Enhance the skills and capabilities of maintenance staff and machinery
  • Manage capital projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare project cost estimates and develop funding proposals
  • Ensure successful execution of capital projects
  • Regularly communicate and report on project progress
  • Monitor and control expenditures to align with approved budgets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in maintenance
  • At least five years of experience in capital and expense project management
  • Preferred background in limestone mining, crushing, milling, and pulverizing operations
