Aircraft Upholstery and Fabrication Specialist

AAA USA Inc. is seeking a skilled Aircraft Upholstery and Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Lake Charles, LA. As a premier provider of VIP/VVIP interior completions for large aircraft, we are looking for a motivated individual to work closely with our team to ensure the highest quality service, safety standards, and performance.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and sewing leather and/or fabric for recovering parts such as interior panels and seats, as well as building seat shrouds, cutting cushions, and applying upholstery to seats, tables, and other equipment in accordance with customer, engineering, and interior design specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut and sew leather and/or fabric for recovering parts such as interior panels and seats.
  • Build seat shrouds, cut cushions, and apply upholstery to seats, tables, and other equipment.
  • Interpret material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements.
  • Ensure the work area is kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents.
  • Perform documentation procedures and signoffs in accordance with Repair Station Quality Manual and respective task requirements.
  • Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in execution and delivery with safety as a priority.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Holds a current driver's license.
  • At least one year of experience in custom V/VVIP upholstery.
  • Minimum of 6 years in upholstery experience as a whole.
  • Proficient in oral and written English.
  • Must report for assignment with personal set of standard trade-specific tools.
