Job Overview

Position: Customer Service Specialist

As a vital member of SeaComm Federal Credit Union, your role is to support our mission of providing exceptional service to our members. You will engage with both current and prospective members to identify their financial needs and recommend suitable credit union products and services. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering strong financial relationships through a consultative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming inquiries to offer comprehensive information about credit union offerings, guiding members towards effective financial solutions.
  • Process requests related to transactions, including payroll adjustments and account inquiries, while assisting members in reconciling their accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve issues concerning member accounts and services, escalating to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Seize opportunities to promote additional credit union services to members, ensuring they are aware of all available benefits.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of one to three years in a similar role or related field.

Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

Interpersonal Skills: This position requires significant interaction with individuals both within and outside the organization, necessitating a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact in all communications.

Additional Skills: Proficient listening and telephone communication skills; ability to operate standard office equipment, including calculators and computers; capable of making informed decisions with limited information.

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation: $17 - $20 per hour, based on skills and experience.
