We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Gensler. This role involves managing all phases of interior architecture projects and leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Your Role:

A Design Manager at Gensler works with autonomy to be responsible for the execution of various project types and sizes. They will lead all phases of projects, including project delivery, and must have a working knowledge of this process with the ability to deliver successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead design manager for a variety of project types.
  • Drive the project delivery during all phases of the project.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Lead relationships with clients, contractors, agencies, and engineering and specialty consultants.
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.
  • Review internal project accounting documents and process draft project billing.
  • Participate in firm marketing, proposal writing, and project interviews.
  • Manage mid-size to large project teams, assign and monitor completion of tasks.
  • Participate in the coordination and document preparation for projects and provide quality assurance via review of project documentation.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Design Management experience in an Architecture firm, working on corporate interiors architecture project types.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Architecture.
  • Sustainable design experience, with a preference for hands-on LEED project participation.
  • Accredited Professional certification (Architectural License or Interior Design Certification).
  • Experience with LEED, FITWEL, WELL, LIVING BUILDING (LFA), PASSIVE HOUSE (CPHC), or other relevant programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of architectural projects.
  • Ability to provide excellent client service and assure project profitability.
  • Desire to mentor junior staff.
  • High level of design competence.
  • Knowledge of state and local building codes including accessibility.
  • Computer savvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project).
  • Revit, AutoCAD and InDesign skills.

Compensation:

The base salary will be estimated between $103,500 - $126,500 plus bonuses and benefits, contingent on relevant experience.
