Position Summary

Tiger Correctional Services is seeking a Culinary Operations Supervisor to manage and direct food service activities while ensuring adherence to health and sanitation regulations as per company and correctional facility policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws. This is a full-time, non-exempt, entry-level role with paid training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals according to established recipes and menus.
  • Ensure sanitary and safe conditions of equipment and workspaces in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Delegate and supervise the tasks of facility-provided labor.
  • Conduct daily inventory checks and maintain accurate tracking logs.
  • Manage kitchen stock levels and initiate reorders as necessary.
  • Perform quality assurance checks as required.
  • Foster a professional working relationship with company personnel, jail administration, and facility-provided labor while upholding company values.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols mandated by the company and jail administration.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned or required.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional culinary skills.
  • Reliable and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as reading comprehension.
  • Proficient in computer usage, particularly with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of 15 to 30 pounds.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Remote work is not permitted for this position.

This role is classified as safety-sensitive.
