About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technician to join our clinical team in the Atlanta, GA area. As a Medical Technician, you will work directly with our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in our CLIA certified mobile laboratory, providing daily patient care and gaining valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • IV starts and blood draws (as permitted by state law)
  • Splint application
  • Wound care
  • Operation, calibration, and maintenance of point of care laboratory equipment
  • Perform EKGs
  • Assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit
  • Documentation
  • Supply and stocking
Requirements
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification Basic Certification with GA, EMT License (hiring credential only)
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
